1) About AIiHC and Acceptance of Terms
AI in Healthcare Community (“AIiHC”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a nonprofit, invitation-based online community for health professionals, researchers, and allied stakeholders exploring responsible adoption of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of www.aiihc.org and related services, including community groups, forums, profiles, messages, events, and other features provided via our website (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all policies referenced here (including our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy).
If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2) Eligibility and Account Registration
2.1 Eligibility. Membership is invitation-based. By registering, you represent that you:
(a) are at least 16 years old (and if under 18, you have parental/guardian consent) and
(b) have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
AIiHC reserves the right to approve or decline applications in its sole discretion.
2.2 Account Security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity under your account.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
2.3 Accurate Information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.
3) Community Rules and Non‑Commercial Use
3.1 Professional Conduct. Treat others with respect. Do not harass, abuse, dox, threaten, or discriminate.
3.2 No Medical Advice Exchange. Do not seek or provide personal medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment (see Section 10).
3.3 No Patient or Personal Data. Do not post or upload any identifiable patient information or other personal data about third parties.
All case discussions must be fully anonymized and de‑identified.
3.4 Strictly Non‑Commercial. Sales, marketing, solicitation, lead generation, or product promotion are prohibited.
Vendors may participate only in approved, non‑commercial areas and must comply with all community rules.
3.5 Lawful Use Only. Do not post illegal content, infringe intellectual property rights, or facilitate unlawful activity.
3.6 Platform Integrity. Do not interfere with the proper operation of the Services, bypass security, or scrape without permission.
4) User‑Generated Content and Licenses
4.1 Your Content. You may post text, images, links, and other material (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content.
4.2 License to AIiHC. You grant AIiHC a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content as necessary to operate and improve the Services, including backups and technical copies.
4.3 Your Warranties. You represent that you have the rights to post the User Content and that it does not violate any law, privacy right,
or third‑party intellectual property or confidentiality obligation.
4.4 No Sensitive Data. You will not upload or disclose any patient‑identifying information, protected health information, or other special category data.
If you choose to share case materials, you are responsible for lawful anonymization and any required approvals/consents.
4.5 Feedback. If you send suggestions or feedback, you grant AIiHC the right to use them without restriction or compensation.
5) Moderation, Notice‑and‑Action, and Appeals
5.1 Our Rights. We may monitor, moderate, edit, remove, or restrict access to User Content and accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
5.2 Notice‑and‑Action. You may report illegal or policy‑violating content via the in‑platform report function or by emailing [privacy@aiihc.org].
Provide a URL, description, and reason for the report. We will review and take appropriate action.
5.3 Statement of Reasons. If we remove content or suspend an account, we will, where feasible, provide a brief statement of reasons.
5.4 Appeals. You may appeal moderation decisions by emailing [privacy@aiihc.org] within 30 days. We will review in a timely manner.
5.5 Repeat Infringers. Accounts that repeatedly violate rights or policies may be suspended or terminated.
6) Copyright and IP Infringement Complaints
If you believe content on the Services infringes your intellectual property rights, please send a notice to [privacy@aiihc.org] including:
(a) your contact details; (b) a description/URL of the allegedly infringing material;
(c) a description of your rights; and (d) a good‑faith statement that the use is not authorized.

We may remove the content and, where appropriate, notify the user and provide an opportunity to respond.
7) Privacy and Cookies
Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
We use a consent management platform (CMP) for non‑essential cookies.

8) Third‑Party Services and Links
The Services may link to third‑party websites, tools, or integrations (e.g., analytics, video platforms).
AIiHC does not control and is not responsible for third‑party content or practices. Use at your own risk and review third‑party terms and privacy policies.
9) No Warranties; Service Availability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error‑free content, or immunity from security events. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
10) Health and Safety Disclaimer (No Medical Advice)
AIiHC provides a professional discussion forum for education and general information only.
Nothing on the Services constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in the community.
In an emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.
11) Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by European law, AIiHC and its officers, directors, staff, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12) Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AIiHC from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your User Content, your use of the Services, or your breach of these Terms.
13) Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Services at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or to protect users or the platform.
You may stop using the Services at any time and may request account deletion via [support@aiihc.org].
14) Changes to the Services and Terms
We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the site or email.
Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15) Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict‑of‑law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections under EEA law.
Any disputes shall be brought before the competent courts in [Oslo], Norway, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
